Car Won T Start

I Have A 98 Seville STS Car Won t Turn Over When I Try To Start It .All Ligths ,horn Etc. Work.. A Few Weeks Ago This Problem Started, But It Would Start Arter 2 Or 3 Turns Of The Key. But Now Nothing. Please Help.lost Job Can t Aford Mechanic.....Thank You

In general, one would remove both battery terminal cables, clean them up with ah wire brush and reinstall, making sure they are clean and tight, then try starting the car.

If no luck, remove the negative battery terminal, then remove and clean up the starter motor terminals, then reinstall all terminals.

If no improvement, carefully attach a cable (jumper cable will do) to the solenoid terminal on the starter motor. If the car starts, there is a problem in the ignition switch circuit. If the car does not start, most likely the starter motor and/or the attached soleniod is dead.

However, your car has the starter motor underneath the intake manifold, so it may be difficult to test in this manner, without removing the intake manifold, which is a pretty big job.
