Re: code c1246
It is important that you make your post as specific as possible. Please include the year of the vehicle, model, engine size, transmission type, mileage and any other information that may be helpful in trying to diagnose the problem. The more information you provide the easier it is for other members to help you.

Re: code c1246
What brand scan tool was used to retrieve these chassis/ABS codes?
The c1286 DTC comes on by default when the electronic brake and traction control module (EBTCM) senses a fault and then turns on the BRAKE warning and ABS lights. The c1246 DTC indicates the rear ABS channel is not moving. Using a GM Tech 2 scan tool you can pinpoint which ABS component may be causing your issue. In the meantime the two main modules that could cause your issue is the EBTCM module or the ABS modulator/motorpack assembly, electrical connectors or wiring.
