Accord 94 EXR weird battery drainage problem

Hello all,
So i'm having this weird problem with my car. I got an oil change about 2 weeks ago and checked my alternator wich checked out. Anyway, yesterday i was driving and all of a sudden my batter light on the dash comes on. Gradually everything that required volts started to give out, first my cd deck shut off, then my dash light dimmed untill it was not present and then my dash itself was not working. None of the gauges where functioning. Then i noticed that if I keep my headlights on, it was as if my car was not in gear anymore(the d4 light on my dash went away). Kind of like when you put it in neutral and rev the engine. And when i drop it in park, the rpm would rev up and die out then rev up and die out repeatedly. I replaced my batter a year ago so i doubt that is the problem. Anyone know what i should be testing? Also noticed it happens after i drive or keep the car on for a long period of time.

Cliffs:
Car loses power for dash and other stuff over time.
Symptoms:
- Dash lights decrease until not present
- All gauges don't work
- Headlights are very dim
- When in Park, engine rev's up and down repeatedly
- If headlights are on during problem, feels like car is not in gear, won't go anywhere when gas is applied
- Temperature gauge bellow middle(thought this could help)
- Starts off with battery light illuminating on dash

Sidenote: Used the car last night after 4 hours of it resting and no problems. Drove this morning and started happening again after ~ 2.5 hours of driving.

sounds like alt is charging and then not charging all the time. you may want to see if belt is tight if you haven't yet?

How did you check your alternator? The battery light is not really a battery light, is an alternator light. So if it is coming on, it indicates the alternator voltage is low compared to the battery. If it is not putting out, the battery will only last for a short time considering all the things it must power in Hondas. Use a volt meter at the battery and see if the voltage increases when the engine is sped up.
