97 Sportage making loud noise!
I gotta 97 sportage 2WD manual. When i accelerate the car makes a really loud noise but only in certain RPM ranges, in my case 2,000-2500 in any gear. I checked for holes in muffler and tightened header bolts and any seals along the exhaust pipe. PLZ HELP, the noise is driving me CRAZY!!!

Can you describe the "noise" somewhat more? Rattle? Rumble ? VIbration? Originating from what section ?A few common issues: drive-shaft universal joint, exhaust pipe shields, exhaust pipe itself missing suspension bracket.
