Unhappy really LOST need help!!

i bought a 2000 isuzu rodeo from a used car dealership about 8 months ago. After i purchased the car (23 days after) the passenger side head locked up, so i had a new set of heads put on the rodeo. now that i have replaced the heads, the driver side bank will not fire or does not seem to fire and i am getting a code of p0300 (random Missfire) and High Voltage on the fuel sensor. has been to three mechanics and no luck so far!

Work done so far:
cleaned egr
replaced entire top gasket set
new heads
new computer
new plugs (NGK)
checked all grounds
checked cat. converter
checked coils
checked for number 6 coil in correct position
checked cam timing
checked wiring harness

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!
anything is greatly appreciated!

Re: really LOST need help!!

I know in the later models, they are very picky about their spark plugs. I got the random misfire codes with new plugs the owners manuel reccommanded. I thought I might have gotten bad spark plugs but was told to use a tiny, actully didnt think i had any on them, of anti-seize and that electricial grease. I took them out and cleaned them off and the things on the coil that they attach too and no more codes. Hope you problem is as simple as that to correct. Andie

Re: really LOST need help!!

You have the wrong plugs in it. Isuzu are really picky are plugs.

I recently had the same two codes.

my missfire was due to loose plugs (I had them swap them out and decarbon the engine to be safe).

The second code is under my factory warranty and the dealer is going to replace the fuel pump when it is in stock (note you don't need to change out the entire fuel pump to fix the second code).

Is the Used Car dealer paying for all theses fixes?

Re: really LOST need help!!

did you notice any carbon on 1 or more of the plugs?

If so that coil may be weak.

Most good shops have a thing (I know i'm pretty technical) that they are plug into each coil to find out which one is miss-firing.

Also, check out Ebay for used coils.....

Re: really LOST need help!!

What was the condition of all of the plugs on that one bank compared to the other? Were all of them wet and black? Did they all look the same? Was only one plug fouled?

I can't remember what the reason was, but somebody on here had an entire bank not fire in the past. Maybe I can find it.
