squadren putty

hey guys i was just wondering if squadren putty is good for building body kits on cars. cuz i saw some down im my local hobby shop and i migh be going over the weekend and i just want ed to know if any1 has ever used it b4 so that i dont get ripped off

I am using this on the Tamiya 350Z kit which I "melted" in brake fluid stripping the lacquer I was not satisfied with.

The putty dries in 30 minutes and you are again ready to sand and add more as needed. The putty sticks to your hands but wipes off with acetone or nail polish real easy. Ive rebuilt the front of the car with this stuff so far.

Truly worth the couple of dollars. The Tamiya putty is an option also. A little more expensive but I have no input as I have never used it.

I have the green Squadron Putty.. it's total crap... I use Bondo Red putty (for car) Way better and cost 5 time less

I use it all the time never had a problem. It sands out real easy.

From what my brother has experienced he says it works actually quite well he built a 92 mustang cobra and made it a drag conversion its pretty mean lookin but anyways i myself have not used any but i think from what ive seen that the white squadron putty works best

Squadron putty is okay as far as model putties go, I prefer the automotive stuff like 3M Acryl-Blue Glazing Putty myself.
If you have a choice, get the white Squadron putty, I find the green stuff is harder to paint for some reason.
Be sure to put the cap back on the tube right-away or the putty will harden inside the tube.
Also the vapor coming of this and most automotive putties smell bad and are bad for your health, so store any puttied parts in a ventilated room.
