Question Where is the fuel relay on 91 Z71 Pickup????

Greetings!
I need help ASAP!!!
My son's truck quit starting. He has a '91 Chevy Z71 pickup. It started fine until 2 days ago. Then nothing. It will turn over, but not start.
He and his dad put some fuel in the carb and it ran until that fuel burnt off... so we're thinking it might be the fuel relay... however, where is it located?????
If that doesn't work then we'll look at the fuel pump... however, I don't get much joy out of dropping down the fuel tank and replacing the fuel pump. Did that with my 2000 Kia Sportage 2 years ago.
Anyway, help is greatly appreciated as well as comments from Z71 Veterans who may know what else may be the problem.
Blessings to all and Seasons Greetings and Merry CHRISTmas!!!!!

Re: Where is the fuel relay on 91 Z71 Pickup????

With a 5.0 or 5.7L engine, the FPR is on right side of firewall behind battery junction block cover - underhood....

You have the option on a Pick-up of lifting the bed up a couple of feet-- much easier IMO- Do you hear F/P running with ignition on? - Do you have fuel pressure at the fuel rail pressure tap? If you can' find the relay- you can always test the grey wire for 12v- (for two seconds at Key on, Engine off-) if not there- then jumper 12v to grey wire- I rarely see a bad relay- usually is the fuel pump. Have you tried beating on the bottom of the tank while trying to start it- about half the time- this will jarr into action a worn out fuel pump....then you can at least drive to a good spot to replace it....
