My 2000 Bonneville has lost power to all windows, locks, & mirrors. Also keyless entry does not work and radio does not shut off when door is opened. Fuses and relays seem to be O.K., battery is good and terminals are clean and tight. I have found that under the carpet the floor and insulation are wet. Anyone had this problem and could give me a steer.
Thanks |

Re: 2000 Bonny no p/w & p/l
Check the wiring diagrams at this link, may help to find a common power/ground source. http://www.autozone.com/shopping/rep...00c1528009f5e3

Check the ground in the DKP (driver's kick panel) pull plastic panel out and pull back carpeting, and check ground in behind parking brake.

Re: 2000 Bonny no p/w & p/l
Thanks to maxwedge and brcidd for the tips. The car will be going into my garage this weekend to get thawed and dried out(I live in Michigan). I'll fill you in on findings.

Re: 2000 Bonny no p/w & p/l
Haven't been on it steady but managed to remove the seats and pulled back the carpet. Have found and cleaned 6 grounding terminals in the passenger compartment. 1 under the drivers seat was slightly corroded but removing and cleaning made no differance. Any more thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 2000 Bonny no p/w & p/l
Look at the posted wiring diagram link and see what is a common ground and/or power source.

Re: 2000 Bonny no p/w & p/l
Finally found it! Connector in drivers door where harness exits the body and enters the door. About an 18 gauge wire broke off the connector. Thanks for the help.

Re: 2000 Bonny no p/w & p/l
It is always the driver's door since it is used about 75% more than the passenger side- have seen wires break inside the insulation in side the rubber conduit - happens frequently there- but it is an easy test- just grab the rubber conduit and see if windows or locks work.
Thanks for replying with your fix.....
