2001 Shifting probs

OK Heres the thing the motor and computer was replaced on a 2001 grand am se 3400 v6 by a "pro" and didn't do good work. About 50 miles after getting tha car back all the dash light come on and it wont go into gear at 20 MPH or more. To this day (about a year later) I had no probs with the dash lights but it still wont change gears after 20 mph. I cant find what is doing this.

Re: 2001 Shifting probs

there must be some codes, get it scanned and tell us what your PCM said. If you have the round connector that plugs into your trans check if it is plugged in good.

Welcome to AF Bmitch !

Sounds like a shift solenoid, like 3100 said get it checked for trouble codes.

I would also check all the fuses that pertain to the trans(drivetrain) and PCM.
