My Beretta Z26's 3.1L engine locked up and I need to know if I need to get it linebored before I can put a new crankshaft in it.

Normally if the crankshaft broke in two pieces I would take it to a machine shop and use a straight edge to check it before I put in a new crankshaft.
Your best bet is to get the block vat cleaned and checked before installing a new crankshaft.
If just bearings make sure it is cleaned very good.
