Mercedes Benz 300CE

This is a Fujimi kit, curbside, I just wanted something I could throw together quick, even though it took a few months I really only spent about a few hours on it. The front wheel assembly was pushed forward using the stock parts, so I fabbed (Ghetto rigged) a new axle mount to bring it back where it should be. The front air dam warped a little after it was mounted (too much glue) I had a little time into filling it with putty and smoothing it back out, not perfect but I am still a little green to building. Broke and lost the front emblem, ughh...

Painted with Dupli-color rattle can Almond Beige Pearl, no clear coat.
Wheels are 18" Aoshima RS Watanabe painted semi-flat black

Made a quick little photo booth that turned out pretty good, I need to play with the camera a little more to make it better and looking back I should have made the booth a little wider.

I had a tough time with the trim running under the masking...I just wanted to move on so here it is.

Comments and criticism welcome

Re: Mercedes Benz 300CE

Nice! Looks like the booth idea worked pretty good. Depending on your camera and photoshop, you might want to back up so you get the whole car in focus. I took probably a couple dozen shots of my cars to get a couple of each worth saving.

But I'd still say it's a nice build with a good shine on it.

So, how about that Mustang model?

Rock on!

You got me there, I must have been thinking about something else when I wrote that...it is in fact a Fujimi.

Re: Mercedes Benz 300CE

looks nice!

A wash on the front grill would help some... and any chance for window masking? I know you said it wasn't really your cup of tea, but practice makes?

Oh, and those are the smallest 18" rims I've ever seen.

Very nice model, we don't see a lot of 300 Benz. The color is just perfect and I like the black wheels!

I had the same kit a couple of years back. Never got a chance to finish it...Box from a high shelf fell on it and crushed the body. Time to find another one! I like how you used Watanabe's on yours.
