Radio stays on with key out?

I have an 02 Lasabre and twice this has happened. Radio stays on and on the same channel. All I can do is pull the fuse under back seat and plug it right back in and all is well. Anyone know what's up or has anyone heard of this in other vehicles. It has a 3.8 in it if that matters. Thanks

Re: Radio stays on with key out?

Does the radio go off when you open the door? Mine does.

Re: Radio stays on with key out?

Will the radio go off after 15 minutes? or like mentioned above- when door is opened? could be the door switch is inop as well- do dome lites work? Do electric windows still operate? Otherwise the delay relay is in control- as designed...

Re: Radio stays on with key out?

everything else works. The radio stays on with door open or closed and it will stay on forever if I don't pull the fuse and plug it right back in. Where is the delay relay located?

Re: Radio stays on with key out?

Next time it happens try pulling the RAP (retained accessory power) relay - Item number 46 in your rear fuse block- instead of the radio fuse- if this shuts off radio- then it may be the relay- you can swap it with another to test- other wise it may be being commanded on indefinitely......at least you'll have some direction.....
