Exclamation Need Help!

Ok I just bought a 1986 Lincoln Town car and it doesnt have a battery in it and I dont have the keys to the trunk! Is there any way to get in the trunk without the key to the trunk and without the battery. Like, is there a button you push in the car to get the trunk open? The guy that sold me the car, said all the parts to the motor and the battery is in the trunk. So, therefor I need to get in it. Money is an object here, so I cant afford to buy a another battery or to get a key made. If someone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Need Help!

There should be a button in the glove box, but you will need a battery to power up the system, or hook up some jumper cables from your other car. Once you get the trunk open, remove the lock cylinder so you can open it easily with a screw driver until you can get a new lock cylinder. The lock is too old to get a key made, I've been there before. Good luck on putting her back together. Sounds like a fun project. I don't have any parts for the older models only 91 and up. but always here for advice. Lincolns rule.
