Problem with parking brake on 99 expedition
Suddenly my parking brake just turned loose, when i pull the release handle it just falls down on it's own and I don't know what it might be..and I don't know if the truck might be running with the brake on since I noticed the front rims get really really hot after short drives...Thanks in advance!

Re: Problem with parking brake on 99 expedition
The parking brake is on the rear wheels so check them to see if it is hot back there. The cables for the parking brake are spring loaded. From what you describe the cable and/or springs have broken. If this happened your parking brake wouldn't be on and you shouldn't have any heating problem on the rear brakes.

92-silverado7.4 Did you ever find the right cable. If so what was the correct part number for it. I have the same problem.
