i have a 1966 nova ss i want to put back on the street. hello and thanks for a reply! i thank the original tags and vin were sold many years back as i didn't get a regular title -just a hand written bill of sells- as i thought all i was going to do was just race it also !!! the tags and vin are gone !! thanks

How can you buy anything that you want for the car unless you find the required info, once you have that go to your DMV and see what is required to register the car, every state isadifferent. In NY they would issue a special ID for the car that was not the oe vin.

You cannot tell a 1966 and 1967 Novas are true super sports without the original vin and this is the only way to tell.My father did buy one down in Auburn during Labor day weekend,a 1966 Nova SS with the original vin,was not all numbers matching and this is a true SS.Went by the vin and the only thing that is is not numbers matching is the 327 engine,is a 1967 engine.
