need some help
my friend has a 92 5.0 bronco. he said when he driving it, the check engine light comes on and it shakes and dies. he trys to start it and some time it starts and some time it wont. it is not the fuel pump.

The 'check engine' light means the ECM has detected a problem with the engine or sensors and has stored one or more related trouble codes. This is the place to start in diagnosing the problem.
Have the ECM scanned for codes. Either a mechanic can do this or you can buy or borrow a code scanning tool. There are websites which can tell you what the codes mean. Sometimes the codes require interpretation in order to find out what the problem is. Post the results back here if you like.
