Fabulous Toyota Hiace VIP
Here's my latest build which won 3rd in the OOB group in our local competition
![]() It was build basically box stock aside from Aoshima wheels. The paint is a metallic black nailpolish with an automotive 2k clear coat. let me know what you guys think! this was a fun quick build, everything went on perfectly and the adjustable suspension height is great! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Very well executed, the rims suits the theme well altough it is not my style. Nice shine also!

Re: Fabulous Toyota Hiace VIP
thanks for the encouragement guys! have a couple of old school toyotas on the table now
this was a fun relaxing project after building a full detail model. will get some outdoor shots as soon as I get the chance and maybe the metallic paint will come out better there.

To this day i still don't see how you guys make nail polish look so good on models! Nice smooth finish.

Re: Fabulous Toyota Hiace VIP
thanks midmazar! nail polish behaves exactly the same way as automotive laquers (except it dries a lot quicker and dries flat) so the painting process is just the same. I like it since its a lot cheaper, and you get more colors off the shelf
