2001 Silverado CEL code P0135B

I have a 2001 Silverado with a 5.3 l v-8. The check engine light came on and it pulled a code P0135B -Heated O2 Sensor Bank 1, Sensor 1. What does this mean and what are the most likely causes? Where is bank 1 and where is sensor 1? The truck has 100K on it. Thanks.

Bank 1 is the left side or driver side of the engine (clyinders 1,3,5,7)
Bank 2 is right side or passenger side of engine (clyinders 2,4,6,8)

Sensor 1 bank 1 is the oxygen sensor located left side of engine on the exhaust pipe before the catalatic convertor.

Check the wires for breakage, if wires are good I suggest replacing sensor since life expectancey of sensor is 100,000 miles.

the driverside upstream sensor is in a tight location. check wires for damage, the connector should hava a locking pin,and be held in place on frame/body.

check fuse O2A 15amp..

if this is all good measure the resistance of the heater of sensor should be 5 ohms pink /black wires C / D terminals..

after you have determined the cause at the least, replace both upsteam sensors with the exact replacement....
