Question 1988 toyota camry won't start

Ran great but now won't start after parking overnight. Has ignition, fuel (pressure up to rail anyway), MAF valve good, timing good, exhaust is free, compression good. Out of ideas.
Shop had it for 2 weeks and gave up. Tried to get a code but no luck.
Going nuts on this one.

Have you tried putting gas or starter fluid in the intake to see if it starts to run?

Someone might have a better idea but here is a couple based on my past experiences.......
Remove a fuel injector. Leave it plugged in and crank the engine. Does it give a fuel spray pattern?
Also, I have encountered ignition components (spark plugs, plug wires, ignition coil) that were marginal, and about to fail. They would produce a spark when the plugs were tested in the open air, but inside the combustion chamber, the pressure build-up prevented an adequate spark. Usually these items, in their last few minutes of life were able to keep a running engine going, but did not work on cold - start up.

Re: 1988 toyota camry won't start

As usual we are giving advice that is basic in nature as these tests seem not to have been done, there is a relay that triggers the fuel pump circuit called circuit opening relay that powers up the ecu too, common issue on those cars/trucks, but we still do not know if there is injector pulse and/or fuel delivery. Check this link for some helpful info. ..http://www.autozone.com/shopping/rep...00c152801ccc4f
