Service Vehicle Soon Light

Hello Everyone,

Got a new problem with my 01 Grand Am SE Coupe with the 6 cyclinder with the automatic in it. The Service Vehicle Soon light comes on once the vehicle is shifted out of park. Obviously that is a bit of a problem because I took it to Autozone and they can't give me the code because the car has to be shifted. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Jon

Re: Service Vehicle Soon Light

Its most likly a bulb, like a headlight or something else that would work only when you shift into gear.
Could also be a DRL or ALC relay .

A higher end scan tool would read the dtc.

Not a bad idea, especially considering that those Sylvanias are so darn expensive...haha.
