Contacting Hiroboy

I'm having difficulty contacting Steve from Hiroboy about an apparently lost order. I ordered some paint and photoetch on September 30, and received an email on October 1 that the order had been shipped. It is now over two months later and I have not received anything. I've posted messages on the Hiroboy website twice (in November and December), sent several emails to the email addresses that were posted on the website, and sent a couple of PMs to Steve through this forum, and have received no response at all. I've seen the thread (now locked) from a while back when someone else had some problems. Calling Steve in GB from the USA would be expensive relative to the cost of the order (~$50). I know there are people on this forum that seem to be able to contact Steve, so I'm looking for help or suggestions. This was my first order to Hiroboy, and I'm rather disappointed in the level of customer service so far. I guess I've been spoiled by Stradasports and Island Collectibles.

Your best bet is phone or skype, I never got an answer to emails.

His website's contact form wasn't working for a while, and he's too busy to come to the forums anymore. Try the contact form again, as it should be up and running now.

Depending on where you live, the paints may not be allowed. Customs may have intercepted your package.

Re: Contacting Hiroboy

I used the website form initially, then saw the message that the form was broken, so I sent emails. When the website form came back online, I tried it again. I suspect I'll have to call. I'm mostly annoyed because I was planning on ordering more paints and stuff, but now I'm not ordering anything else until this is resolved.

Re: Contacting Hiroboy

I have paints from Scale Finishes, MCW, and CobraColors (wish they were still around). I've had good results with all of them; Hiroboy just has some colors (like motorcycle stuff) that are not readily available anywhere else. But customer service is important, too.

Re: Contacting Hiroboy

I am pretty sure that if you ask scale finishes he would mix it up for you.

Re: Contacting Hiroboy

Sorry, I can't reply to each of the 100's of emails per day.
The business is only me, no staff at all, I do try to get to everyone's emails
if you have a problem please email [email protected] , which IS Read as a matter of importance.
I only pop on forums 1-2 month top and due to time I never read PM's.
Sorry
Yes I would love to employ staff but it is not financially practical, before it is said again

Please email again, as I never want to let anyone down.

But as I say every time a thread like this is started
PLEASE USE A SHIPPING OPTION WITH TRACKING,
then we would all be happier wouldn't we.
Customers will buy $500 worth of goods and only spend $30 on shipping, without insurance or tracking at all , it only cost a bit more.
Steve

Very good advice, but last time I paid for shipping with tracking option and received the package as simple AirMail Post.
So why pay for it if it's not even taken into account?

This should not happen at all we.
We did experience some for the "Signed For" labels were falling off the boxes as the sticky area is not big enough, these are now also taped on the box.
But if it was a genuine mistake we will of course refund you.
Yes I do make mistakes now and again
I just wish I was as perfect as my customers, but I'm not...
