Re: need help with head lights
Hello,
Also own a 2000 with same problem. What this is, as near as I can diagnose is a Short in our Daytime Running Lamp module. If you start the engine, turn the regular night headlights on, then engage drive/rev. the Service lamp will not light up, and you can drive around until the next start. I found this out when they flashed a bunch of times, I saw that my pass. side headlamp needed a new one, replaced it and after 2-3 starts this surfaced. Remove battery, look for corrosion underneath caused by wiper fluid spills. Blue/Pink wire will be culprit. Either no connect or short. One of your High beam headlamps likely does not work - but it is not the bulb. It is the controller - DRL module. Interested to see what you find... Good Luck as well...

Hello again,
P.S. 13.8VDC is normal Out for Alternator. Charges battery for next start. I think you are OK there... |

Re: need help with head lights
http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...adlight+defect here check this out. I didn`t remove any lights but you`ll get the idea. it could be pinholes or just rotton splices in wiring. Good luck
