1998 Jeep Cherokee Serpentine Belt Replacement 4.0 6 Cyl
Hi folks,
After inspecting my serpentine belt, it looks like it's due for a replacement. There are several cracks all over the inside tread of the belt. I've been looking around at belt prices and they range anywhere from $22 to $80. Is there any particular brand of belt out there that is really good, or should I just buy a factory replacement from the dealer? I plan to take it to a mechanic to have it installed, but I typically like to buy a better brand than the standard that most shops use. I'm looking for any advice that you could suggest when dealing with this issue. Thanks in advance! |

I have seen that the cheaper the belt, the sooner you'll be changing it. Best advice is get a belt from napa or teh dealer. Have never had problems with either source.
