Starter questions

3 weeks ago, i bought a refurbished starter. Not being a car guy, I had it towed and put in, cost me about 137 bucks to do all of that.

I have a warranty on my starter, so they are going to give me another one, but they wont cover the towing and labor.

So ive decided that i can try to put this in myself.

So what I need, is someone to tell me how to go about this.

like where is the starter, is it hard to get to, what kind of tools do i need.

Any help would be AMAZING

Re: Starter questions

If you send me a Private Message with your request and an e-mail address that can accept PDF attachments, I'll send you the steps.

I've never done one on an LS so I can't share what tools you'll need. The service manual does not mention any special tools though.

AutoZone's website shows some very simplified steps in the Repair Guide section on their website.
