Post whining noise

so i have a 2000 chevy 1500 and i have noticed a whining noise when the truck is under load. i had a bent drive shaft and replaced that but the noise is still there. the noise only comes about when the accelerator is hit and it does not do it when coasting down a hill in neutral. the truck is an automatic. anyone have any ideas. maybe a stretched chain in the case???
