4 wheel wont engage light blinking

i have a 2001 trail blazer when i push the 4 wheel hi or low or auto the light just blinks dosnt ingage, i had tried a new switch and same, could this be in the transfer case switch or more likely the control module

You are in the wrong forum this is for the 2002 up new type Trailblazer, but yes this is more commonly the encoder motor in the transfer case.
