Completed - 1954 Porsche 550 - AC group build

Here's one for the Porschephiles!
The 1954 Carrera Panamericana class winning Porsche 550.
This was Porsche's first international road race win, and inspired Porsche to name an engine design and later a production model after the Carrera.

I'll whip up a short WIP soon.

Most details are there, though I did omit two small grills on the engine cover and a Castrol marking.

Enjoy

Very clean finish! Is it the MFH-kit? Was a bit disappointed when i saw how simple the kit is. The wheels are looking huge on that small car. Are they oversized?

That came out excellent

You need to tell/show these guys what you started with since it's so heavily modified. If you don't have any pics of the raw body I can shoot mine since I haven't come up with a game plan for mine yet.

Very nice!! I cant wait for the Profil 24 1/24th coupe kit to come out. I wish
they would do a PAN AM car.

He said it was the Jimmy Flintstone body on another forum.

The Flintstone body is very inexpensive, and has a few weird/odd/inaccurate details. It's meant to combine w/a Fujimi 356.

Damn, I just sold my on eBay, never thought it would be worth to keep it given all the inaccuracies.

This build changed my mind but it's too late, it's already in it's box heading for Sweden.
