Multiple warning lights, dead accessories

Just a heads up if you ever see this or something simular. I pulled away from a friends house today and a bit down the road I discovered my brake, airbag, and ABS lights on and my turns sigs weren't working. A few minutes later I got home and also found my front and rear blower, radio, upper console and power windows were dead. I decided to cycle the ignition switch and restart but, as I touched the ignition switch I felt a small movement then everything came back to life. So...when I originally started the van the ignition switch didn't fully return to the run position leaving me with all the problems I saw. I was able to duplicate the problem several times by just nudging the ignition switch towards start. It would stick and create what I saw everytime. Looks like I'll be cleaning or replacing my ignition switch in the near future.

Would you explain the igniton switch drop-out for myself and others pleas jpb53. Is it something that can be fixed with a new tumbler or does the igntion switch need to be replaced?

Thanks

It can be the switch or the lock cylinder or a combination of the 2. The easiest way to ck this is to remove the column shroud and then the switch. Leave the switch connected and manually activate the switch with a screwdriver. You can also grab the little rectangular nub that goes into the switch and see how much play you have in the cylider and key or as some call it a tumbler.
