Lighting help

I can't get the light beneath the steering column to go off. It randomly flicked on one day and after that it doesn't turn off. It ended up running my battery down and I had to jump start my car. I checked my fusebox and pulled some to see if it would go off <----yeah I'm a noob. Right now I'm gonna resort to disconnecting my battery whenever I go places.

Any help would be much appreciated.

What year? I assume it is a 95.

Here is a link for a online service manual with a wiring diagram:

http://www.bedlib.org/ebsco.html

click on the ARRC emblem
enter the word LIBRARY for userid and password
click on auto repair reference center
choose year, make and model

I would disconnect the bulb until you can fix problem. I would think it is either the dimmer switch or the interior light module but not sure.

Hope this helps
