04 Cavalier Sway Bar Questions

I had a clunking noise in my front end and upon inspection I found the sway bar broke off on the left frame mount. It looks like there is little room to manouver a new one in place so can someone tell me if I will have to drop the engine craddle to remove and install the new one?

Jim

Re: 04 Cavalier Sway Bar Questions

You need to disconnect the steering wheel linkage at the rack, and drop the sub-frame an inch or two if you want to replace the whole sway bar. If one of the end links just broke, you don't need to drop the sub-frame.

Re: 04 Cavalier Sway Bar Questions

To change a cv joint on my 97 Cavalier do I need the lower ball joint, tie rod end and the sway bar tie off? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
