Widest tire you've run on the 18x9.5" rim?

well, now that the season is over for a few months I want to get some new skins for the Panoz for next season. What is the widest tire someone has fit(without affecting performance negatively)

The 285-30 Hoosiers seem to be about as wide as you can go. i'd love a 305-30 or similar.

Anyone running any aftermarket rims? if so what kinds? the mustang rims, almost fit, but looks like the lip prevents it from seating all the way.

I run 18x11 fronts with 305/650's and 18x12 rears with 325/700 tires on CCW 3 peice rims!

Thanks, I was afradi you'd say that, CCW=$$$$

What fitment did you choose? It appears the mustang rims need to be machined to remove the center cap lip, or run a spacer, although CCW will do just about any size you want, its for you its a non issue.

I bought the rims years ago...Squerly just bought the same setup as us and it should be fresh in his memory or just call John/Chip at CCW and ask them about our rims (Milestone Motorworx - Brian). We still use the 1/2" factory front spacers (dont ask).

Re: Widest tire you've run on the 18x9.5" rim?

We have a set that came with the 17" rain rims and tires. Never considered if we needed them or not - just put them on. I just assumed they were either an offset correction or required for caliper clearance?????

From recall, without looking at them somewhere in the 1/4 to 3/8" range.
