Wiper/washer blows fuses
I am working on a 1994 Caprice. I am having a problem with the wiper/washer. Sometimes they work fine, other times the intermittant wipers won't work and when the intermittants won't work if you engage the washer pump the fuse blows. I have reason to believe it may be the wiper timing control unit located in the plastic cover on the wiper motor, but I am having a hard time locating this part as a replacement. If anyone has experienced this problem, or knows where to get the timing control unit I'd be most grateful.

Re: Wiper/washer blows fuses
Any parts house should have them. I've used Napa and Anco units. Try to avoid ones where you have to alter the existing car wiring, if I had to do another one, I'd go to GM and get the right one. I had nothing but headaches with Napa timing units and when I replaced it with the Anco unit, the wiring was diferent from the Napa butchery I had to perform.

Re: Wiper/washer blows fuses
Thanks for the reply. I went to a local AC-Delco distributor and found that what I was looking for was actually called a cover, even though it includes the wiper control module. It was $77, but if it solves the problem it's well worth it.
