Front End Problem

Im having a problem going forward in my 1990 fullsize bronco. It goes in reverse just fine but when i put it in drive my front wheels lock up and my rear wheels just spin. So i thought ok my maybe its my transfer case since i just got done rebuilding it. i disconnected my front drive shaft and it still didnt go any where. so i knew it wasnt my transfer case. Im thinking its my front axle. i ask several people and nobody can figure it out. so i figured i would ask u guys before i started tareing into my front axle. If anybody knows what the problem might be please tell me i would really appreciate it.

P.S this happen after i got done pulling my car.

Re: Front End Problem

I would put it on jack stands and check if the front brakes are sticking or the axle is locking up. Next I would check if you have locking hubs or the mechanism for the hubs is releasing. Check front bearings go through the system slowly.

Re: Front End Problem

I checked my brakes, wheel bearings, and my locking hubs and everything was fine. Im guessing its my front axle.

Re: Front End Problem

Pull the cover and look you have to do this to pull an axle. I would suspect a damaged gear.
