Sony Deck(Head Unit) Radio Problems

Alright so I originally had a Alpine deck in my truck and it worked fine with my system and everything. But I do do a lot of offroading so it turns out that the CD Player in it completly messed up. But the radio was working fine in it. So I used my radio for a couple of weeks. But the other day my friend offered me his old deck which is a Sony Xplode ?552o? (not sure on the model.) But me and him put that in last night. So after we did the CD player in it worked great. The only thing was that the radio did not work. For the radio I can bearly hear anything, sometimes if I put the volume to MAX i can get static and if im moving i might get like a very disorted sound like something is coming through but barely. was thing that it was the antenna plug back check that and it seemed to be in all the way. Any ideas of what else it could be? Thought it could have been my antenna cause I have had problems with that before but then again it worked fine on the other deck. Any idea? Much appriciated

Well going to go play around with it some more see if i can get it working, any ideas anyone?

sure does sound like the antenna is not plugged in all the way
