Welcome to AF. On top of the radiator there is a black 3 inch hose leading to the engine. Where the hose meets the engine there is a thermostat housing. The thermostat is inside there.

Just FYI for anyone who needs this at a later date.
The manual says you need a 9mm socket for the 3 bolts, but it's 8mm.
Easy 10 minute job if you can find your tools
