steering-wheel audio/cruise-control buttons

i bought an 04 tsx a month ago. the only problem i really have with it is the audio/cruise-control buttons on the steering wheel; they dont light up. its impossible to see them at night. ive noticed that 05+ tsx's have lighted buttons. and of couse my question is can these buttons be easily swapped out? anyone tried this? would it involve a lot of splicing? looks easy enough to me i just dont know if theres anything im missing.
