Want to learn more about the GTs - Pictures particularly

Hey
I have searched the entire internet (or damn near all of it) and all of these forums and haven't found many pictures or much info on the GTs - 54F1GT, 56XPGT, and 58F1GT. I am asking if someone who knows quite a bit about them could explain them to me, or copy and paste some info they've found, and also:
I have only found a few pictures of these amazing looking machines - and the quality is suspect in most of them. I understand not many pictures exist, but, could everyone post all of their's here? Could this become like the 'GT Pictures Thread'? Because, man, they are soooo beatuiful and I need to see more pictures.
Also, any more updates on the whereabouts of any of them? And do McLaren Automotive still have a big HQ, if so where, and do they ever open this to the public?
Thanks

Le Man and Peloton know more than I, but I'll get the ball rolling

You are right, not a lot of pictures exist, but most are on here somewhere

Try here, hereand here to begin with for pics and some info on them

They are located in the Mclaren Tech Centre last we heard (56XPGT), Brunei (54GT but there are rumours it's been sold) and in the ZAZ Museum in Japan (58GT that was burgundy but is now two tone silver)

Here's a couple scanned from Rosso magazine I did a few years back:

Warning the first pic links to a larger 2098x2766 pixels

Looks so much better in burgundy than the two tone now that I see these pictures again.

Much more distinctive colour.

Three main sources of info,

McLaren automotive web site,

Driving ambition (std issue)

GT Brochure (very rare and expensive) I think there is a copy on Ebay at the moment. Check back through the threads and you will find pics of the brochures content.

Re: Want to learn more about the GTs - Pictures particularly

Looking at the chassis plate shot of the Japanese GT a little closer, it does appear that there are three sections of two characters, lending to the potential that it reads "58 F1 GT" or perhaps it is "058 F1 GT"?

jayfive - there was a story that the Brunei GT had been sold to someone in the UK, but I have never seen any evidence to back that up.

Still can't believe they repainted 58GT! The burgundry was so charismatic on that car!

Re: Want to learn more about the GTs - Pictures particularly

Thanks for all your pics and advice so far - and if any of you have more, feel free to post it opcorn:
That low-quality shot (assuming it's a still from a video) - does anyone know more about that one? Is it definitely 58? or could it be 56, or maybe... even 54?
Burgundy looked so much better! I agree.
And does anyone know when they might let 56 out and about again? Man I hope it hasn't been lost to a collection. I'm gonna buy it when I win the lottery
But please, by all means, post heaps of pictures (I know there aren't 'heaps', but, as many as you have anyway - I'd looove to see them The rare the better lol
Thanks guys!

Which one? If you mean the one with the rear lid up with what looks like blue tape on it? I'm certain its 58GT during pre delivery testing after its change from Burgundy to two-tone silver, linky here from this thread

Re: Want to learn more about the GTs - Pictures particularly

OK. Thanks.
Found this:
MCL F1 GTR NONE FIGTR009
MCL F1 BN3388 SA9AB5AC3R1048005
MCL F1 BN2008 SA9AB5AC4R1048014
MCL F1 LM KF90 SA9AB5AC9T1048LM1
MCL F1 LM BP75 SA9AB5AC4T1048LM4
MCL F1 BN73 SA9AB5AC9R1048008
MCL F1 LM BM2208 SA9AB5AC6T1048LM5
MCL F1 BN1954 SA9AB5AC1P1048002
MCL F1 GT BQ7551 SA9AR5BC8T1048054
That everyone's probably seen before. It's the supposed list of the Sultan's cars.
Anyone know if this list is fully legit? and if so does this confirm he owned the 54GT then? also LM1 LM4 and LM5
Thanks

That list is as accurate as we are going to get - I believe it to be true. And yes - it was posted here the day after it hit the web or maybe even the same day. It was first shared over on FerrariChat where some of us also pay frequent attention.

The single photo that exists of 54F1GT above was taken by a mechanic in Brunei. No doubt it went there, just some doubt about whether it remains there or not.

Re: Want to learn more about the GTs - Pictures particularly

Hi
Thanks for all your info and pics so far - 'tis great!
Question:
I don't know how reliable this site is as it looks a bit dodgy and calls 56XPGT Black, then Green-Black, but does it know something we dont? It appears to state the location of 54F1GT is Germany!!!???
http://www.agent4stars.com/CarMcLarenF1_GT.htm
Do you think there is any truth in this?
And please please please keep the pics coming.
Man I'm sorry I just can't get enough of that car. Words cannot explain.
Thanks!
