was this wise? the car is fucking so cool.. i'm 18, female and it's seriously beyond the sexiest vehicle i've ever encountered

it runs well, no mechanical problems, and it's an auto

but i've HEARD that they suck, is this true? i love it so much..

please help people, i'm really curious about my new car. And it's not a vr4, does that make it any less good than a vr4?

The VR-4 and the SL are two totally different animals. The SL is a perfect car for you. It has enough power to be fun, and looks sexy as hell. Just drive it, and enjoy it.

As far as your car "sucking", everyone has their opinions. Some people don't like the 3000GT's, and a lot of people are just jealous.

The only thing I will say, is KEEP UP WITH REGULAR MAINTENANCE! Otherwise you will be paying a LOT of money to fix it when it breaks. Make sure you have oil changes done regularly (every 3-5k miles, depending on if you're running synthetic oil, or regular dino oil, etc). Make sure you check your tires and change them before they are too worn out, the same goes for your brakes. Have the spark plugs and wires changed (it probably needs it).

And I don't know the mileage on your car, or what work the previous owner had done, but if the timing belt service (60k/120k) has not been done, DO IT! Because if you wear those out too long, and the belt breaks... you WILL need a new engine (not something you want to have to pay for).

awesome car, good choice. Post some pics when you get the chance.

SL for a first car is great. Anyone saying they suck has almost certainly never owned one. Take care of it and it will take care of you.

how many miles does it have?

EDIT: ^beat me again

the people saying it sucks, they're just jelous because they don't have one, nor did they even think to buy one, so they settled for the honda civic and toyota camry
