Brake pads

So I'm looking at getting new pads. I had the Silent Silver's and I hated them. I've never had a pad that had such brake fade like the SS's. I was looking into getting the EBC Green Stuff pads, or these:

Anyone have any experience with either one of these pads?

Re: Brake pads

I would look up some reviews online about them. You should be able to find some, may not be from an eclipse but it really doesn't matter. They look fine to me but I would want some feedback before buying them.

I have only used Hawk HPS and Axxis metal master pads. I like the axxis pads better but both of those have a good bit of dust. I know neither of these were in your post but I wanted to throw a few more choices out there for you.

Re: Brake pads

EBC Greenstuff take way too long to come up to operating temp for a street-driven pad.

Re: Brake pads

I have heard good things about the EBC pads, I actually need to replace my rear pads so I was going to go w/ a set of those.

Re: Brake pads

im enjoying my HAWK HPS pads, they stop like Hell, only downfall, is when they aren't up to a fair temp, they still squeak...

Silver, i have noticed next to NO dust from my HPS pads... much cleaner then the OE Brembo pads IMO

Re: Brake pads

What rotors are you running? I was using drilled and slotted. I think that may have been part of the problem.

Re: Brake pads

I bet thats a big part of why.

I had Hawks on my Talon and I liked them. I didn't get much dust either, but I downshifted a lot so I barely had to brake. I did notice that they didn't like to be cold, but there was a couple times that I really needed to stop or slow down and they did that very well.
