Source for O ring replacement

I'm looking for a simple O ring about 1/4" on diameter to replace a leaking one at the end of a Ford power steering hose. It screws into the steering rack.

The hose is fine, and I want to save it, instead of replacing the $50 hose because a 20 cent O ring is leaking.

Can someone recommend someplace where I can purchase a simple O ring?
I assume it is neoprene. Will an O ring meant for plumbing work?
Will a dealer be able to match it?
Thanks.

Re: Source for O ring replacement

Take that o-ring off, and go to Ace Hardware, Autozone, etc. Just match it up.

Me: No you idiot.
Him: Sorry, I've never replaced an O-Joint before
Me: FAIL

Re: Source for O ring replacement

Harbor Frieght sells a box of something like 300 assorted O-rings for $10. Not sure if the quality is up to the task of sealing high pressure power steering fluid, but worth a shot.

Re: Source for O ring replacement

Just make sure the material the o-rings are made from are compatible with petroleum products. If they are EPDM, no good,
Should be at least viton or neoprene.

Good luck
