Unhappy timing on 2002 pontiac

my friend got the wrong repair manual that she can't return, so she asked me to find her some online help. she needs to know how to set the timing on a 2002 pontiac grandam or grandprix with 4 cylinders 2.4 liter and quadcam. thanks so much .

the timing is computer controlled, can not by manually adjusted

thats not true. with the proper scan tool you can make minor adjustments, like when ones done a tune up.

I believe they're asking how to set the timing marks when replacing the timing chain/gears. And I also think the 2002 is a 2.2 Ecotec not a 2.4 Quad.

To set this you just need to align the marks on the gears, best to do this before removing them. That way you just put the new set on and shazam youre done.
I'll see if I can find the exact info ...
