Lower ball joint problems!!!
I own a 91' oldsmobile 98 Elite. 3.8L and the trouble I'm having is the
front lower ball joints. I've cut the rivets flush to the a-arm underneath, but the darn thing does not want to pop. I've even used my air hammer on the rivets just to get them to move a bit. But Nothing!! I don't want to use heat, cause all of my gas welding tips are all too large or too little and the fact that the heat is very close to the CVD boots is scary ![]() The car is from Texas Alpaso with 38k miles...and the darn car has busted ball joint boots, front to back ![]() Please help LL |

Re: Lower ball joint problems!!!
Welcome top AF, where is it stuck, you must get the stud out of the knuckle first with a fork tool or ball joint seperator then it will come out of the arm, I assume you know this? see this link. http://www.autozone.com/shopping/rep...00c1528004ab10
