reverse lights?????
i seach and nothing came up so i will ask yall i have 1990 hatch with the ls b18a1 swap done but i dont have reverse light? it is pluged in and everything but a friend of mind told me that i have to do some wiring????? do i have to wire them up????

Ummm... that is stupid. IF they worked before, and you plugged the wiring into the tranny, they should work now.
Take the wiring clip back off the tranny, and short the two wires together. If they don't turn on, then you need to check the car's wiring. IF they do, it's the switch on the tranny. Swap it out for your old one or get a new one. Oh.. your friend, he has no idea what he's talking about... He's trying to say things that will make him seem smart to you... I can tell you from experience that it's going to be a problem in the long run if you keep taking stupid advice from him.

thanks they never worked when i got the car my friend (different friend)swap the motor, put skunk2 coilovers on it and and drove it with out them and he was hard on money so i bought it for 1000 dollars and a pack of newport so thats why i asked.and everybody says basically i stole the car

reverse lights are overrated anyways, they are just there for the lazy people who can't tell if your backing up by looking at the actual movement of the car.

LOL tony.. I'm pretty sure they're legally required, as well. At least in PA they are.. I've been pulled over for no reverse lights before.. (Engine wasn't even on, I was letting it coast backwards into another spot to conserve fuel... no point in starting a car to move it 30 feet when it will roll there.)

That I'm aware of, they are not required...doesn't mean some prick cop won't try and get you for them though. I rolled around in my 240sx without reverse lights for a long time without any issues, just a few pissed off people because they weren't paying attention and then they state the obvious of I don't have any reverse lights.
