99 Century Wipers Overdriving
The wipers on my 1999 Century are wiping past the normal stop point and going clear off the windshield. Also instead of a single wipe with the manual switch they do a double wipe before stopping. The stop point seems to be normal.Any suggestions? This all started during cold weather and I am not sure if the wipers had been frozen to the windshield, but I don't think so.

Re: 99 Century Wipers Overdriving
I would bet that the wipers got stuck and slipped on the shafts, throwing them off. Turn on the wipers, then when they get to the top of their swing where they are off the windshield, turn off the ignition key to stop them in that position. Loosen the nuts that secure them to the shafts, and reposition them so they are where they should be. It may take a little trial and error, but you should be able to get then re-aligned in this manner.

No, the park position is determined by a tab on the wiper transmission.
