05 Durango
I have a 05 durango i have been hearing a noise in the front end, at low speeds 20 on a bumpy road you can hear it and feel it in the brake & gas pedal, while turning into the drive you can hear it, like a fate popping or bumping. i put in the shop and drove the tech around the block, he said that he only heard it twice at low speed. So they kept it over night and at 9:30 the next morning i call the shop and they said that they couldn't find anything but they burn most of a full tank out of it, They said that he put on some earmuffs and hooked into the frame but didn't find anything. So what do yall think/

Re: 05 Durango
My '06 makes what sounds like a grinding/popping noise similar to what you described. I recently realized that it was the traction control kicking in. Look at your dash next time and see if the yellow light flashes.

Re: 05 Durango
On mine, it was the steering shaft joint, although that was a 1999.
