Gearing change
Looking to lower my rear end gears for improved acceleration for low cost. I have a 71 Buick 455 engine with a Turbo 400 auto and 3:42 gears. I was thinking of 3:91 gears which was an option for non-A/C cars like mine. But maybe a bit too low and not practical. I may settle for 3:73. Anyone have any experience with a big block, using a Turbo 400 transmission and the 3:91 gears? The car is not a daily driver and used mainly for show. Any suggestions?
