is 2001 xg300 worth $1900?

hi, going to look at this car today, it has 100k miles and needs tires and a catalytic converter, seems to be in good shape...think its worth asking price?

Depends which cat is bad. There are 3. The ones on the manifolds are about $800/ea. The one that is on the exhaust pipe, you'd be looking at $1200+. That is for Hyundai parts though. Not sure what is out there in the aftermarket.

Tires not so bad to replace/good decent ones at cheaper places. CONVERTER beware. which one> emissions? beware!! The sensors are >>>>to try and fix. IT should be a hyundai diagnostic and converter replacement. It leads to all sorts of problems. Believe me I know!

I know someone that bought one almost 61K for 7000. But most of the prices around where they both it are about the same. I have seen a lot for 60-75Kmiles,same year. really really chk it out with a mechanic that you know if not 2
