...and it's like $1,000,000 cheaper than #065.

Must be the mileage.

Re: V.i.n. 006

BTW: This 'discovery' almost certainly puts to rest the mystery of which F1 Bernd Pischetsrieder crashed and wrote off. From an earlier post of mine:

So until chassis #010 magically appears somewhere, I'm considering that car gone...

BRX - I think you are probably right about the Japanese car with the - - - 8 plate. Shame these sales photos have obscured the plate on the car now.

Re: V.i.n. 006

I too assumed, that the car BP crashed could be #010!
http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...&postcount=118

On the other hand I always had the feeling, that #004 as well as #006 were also delivered to Brunei...
It would have matched the colour scheme in which the Sultan liked to order his cars.

Btw:
Is it safe to assume that #006 is still original and was a japanese car from the very beginning?

With #010 most likely written off, it now should make four F1 with this fate, right? - XP1, XP2 and #017

Re: V.i.n. 006

Yeah - I saw that. But at the time there was no logical reason for you to exclude #006 that I could think of.

Hard to say where this one started life. Japan is certainly a possibility since that is where it is now and several cars did go there from the start.

Don't forget there was a Brunei car that was written off too. It would be #002, #005, #008 or LM1, LM4, LM5 or the GT. I think Chris might know the story, but he's been tight lipped on it. I couldn't get the exact details out of any of my sources even though one was "involved".

Re: V.i.n. 006

Sorry. I really don't know any of the story about the Brunei crash. I don't know if it was ever repaired or not. I've been trying for ages to just find out the colour of the car that crashed

Oh - thought you had the scoop - sorry.

I'll dig up the old emails I have on the topic and see if there's anything extra I can delve from them. Sometimes when you look at things twice you get a different picture.

Re: V.i.n. 006

How do you know one was crashed in Brunei? Was it in the papers? Online rumour? Any pictures? Do you know if anyone was hurt--was it a factory tech test driving or one of the owner's family members at the wheel? Was the car a complete write off?

This is the first I am hearing about it.

I also heard the car was shipped back to the UK and parted out
