Shattered Rear Window

Please Help..wondering if anyone has heard of this problem. I bought my 2004 Trailblazer about one month ago. I loved it. While driving to work today I heard what sounded like a gun shot. The rear window just shattered. What a mess. I am at a total loss. Anyone know anything about this???

Re: Shattered Rear Window

Check your dealer for recalls and tsb's on it.
There was some problems on some.
But could have also been something hit it.
Lawn mowers are hard on them to.

Is the new one working good?
Did insurance take care of it?
Did the glass company have any ideas on it?

Re: Shattered Rear Window

Do a search on this forum on this subject. There was quite a discussion it last year . Happened to me also. There are no recalls that I am aware of either. Sounds like it is just "one of those things"

Re: Shattered Rear Window

Thanks for your replys. I did do the search and it is just one of those things. It is a rather scary thing to have happen while driving. No recalls. Glass company said it does happen to Trailblazers, insurance covered it as comp. so I had to pay a $250.00 deductable. New one is holding up so far..but it's only been about 2 weeks now. I really hope it's not going to happen again.
Watch out for this!!!
