What do you guys think is the most you can coax out of an all motor RX-7???

What do you guys think is the most you can coax out of a street-legal, all motor (or should I say... all-rotor, HAhahaha!) RX-7??? I'm just curious how much N/A power these things can make while still bieng street legal in the smog-nazi state of california. I'm facisnated with rotoraies but have doubts about thier reliabilty after hearing that you have to tear open the engine if you damage an apex seal.

i'd say about 350-400 hp, but this will only happen if it is tuned to the max...well mildly, wild is just 500 hp with no turbo one of these rortary's.

If u wanted to do a 13B non turbo and get mega power u would have to peripheral port it. U could prob get around 400hp at the engine which is pretty good for a 1.3L. BUT..... The car would not idle under 2000rpm, would use a hell of a lot of petrol and would be the loudest mofo u have ever heard!
Would rev to 11 or 12,000rpm tho. =)

who told you this, that it will rev to 11-12k rpm's, that is not true it will go to 9-9.5k top's(non-turbo).

Mate, a Peripheral port will rev to 11,000rpm easy. Have u ever been in a PP? Is totally diff to any other sort of port out there. U r making the intake peripheral as well as the exhaust (as far as I know) which totally changes the cars characteristics.
The car doesnt make any real power till about 8,000rpm.

As far as I know, the rx8 is set up in a mild peripheral style also.
Redline on the rx8 is 9000rpm, and thats on a factory car. An interview with the designer said that they had the car redlining at 11,000rpm but they had reliability issues.
A PP that u get a workshop to do is the highest state of tune u can get on a NA engine. It will rev to 11,000rpm easy and still be making power.

12 kinda throws me, 11 seems like a lot but i would believe it. Seems more reaslistic to be around 10, either way, if you put the money into it, I think you could probably get around 350 or 400 hp out of it.

11k rpm is still to high I've gotten the rx7 that I owned single turbo to 9000k rpm, and my car had mod's up the ass.

True, just like the GTR and 22B that you have. Also, a PP reving to 11k, easy....... heck, if they can do it with a straight 6 twin turbo.........

EVomaniac!?!?! DO U REALISE THAT A TURBO 13B AND AN NA PERIPHERAL PORT ARE TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ENGINES!?!?!
The standard intake that u normally port to make bigger is totally filled up and is replaced peripherally where the exhaust port is. U cannot compare a 13B turbo as the ports are in completely different spots. DO U UNDERSTAND!!!!

A turbo engine is never gonna rev that high, thats why URS COULD NOT DO IT!!!!

Please dont comment if u dont know what ur talking about.

Look at all the posts EVOMANIAC has made throughout these forums in Lancer, Skyline, rx7 and supra and u will not listen to him either.
Look at his, "13B's have 3mm seals STOCk" thread.

He stopped posting here for some reason, maybe everyone found him out on his total BS answers.

Yeah, on the rx7 boards there was a guy Soul Assassin that pulled 600hp out of his N/A. Well i'm pretty sure it was N/A. All i remember is that it was a fuckin FAST FC.

Such a shame.
